About Jim Moeller

Leadership Coaching Experience

My leadership coaching journey began in 2016 when I volunteered with Gettysburg College’s Garthwait Leadership Center. I’ve always been a proud Gettysburg College alum, but being surrounded by exceptional leaders was eye-opening. After mentoring a young alumnus for a year, I joined the GLC as a leadership coach where I was trained by some of the best minds in the leadership world. I continue to gain hands-on coaching experience and learn from the GLC’s skilled coaching staff and fellow professionals who share a passion for developing thoughtful, resilient leaders.

Leadership Development

Outside of the GLC, Jim earned a certification from The Coaching Masters for completing its Coaching Foundation course, completed a year-long Leadership Development Program through a former employer, and completed an Executive Leadership Program at Babson College. He continues to expand his knowledge through books, podcasts, and thought leaders focused on leadership, psychology, and personal growth. This combination of formal training, practical experience, and continuous learning shapes Jim’s approach to coaching.

Coaching Philosophy

Leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about awareness, authenticity, and alignment.

In coaching conversations, I help clients:

  • Clarify what matters most
  • Strengthen their confidence and communication
  • Make decisions with purpose and calm
  • Build habits that sustain growth and balance

Each session is a mix of reflection, challenge, and practical steps you can put to work right away.

Jim believes leadership is less about authority and more about awareness, authenticity, and alignment. His coaching approach emphasizes self-understanding, purposeful communication, and steady progress toward meaningful goals. Whether helping a young professional build confidence or guiding a seasoned manager through change, Jim focuses on practical strategies that help clients grow into the kind of leaders others want to follow.
